I thought you were supposed to be the UK Independence Party? Apart from the fact you haven’t a clue how wind power works, you’re trying to make us depedent on foreign imports of oil, gas, and uranium? You’re crazy!! What an abysmal broadcast. Your deceit will find you out.

    Leo,
Try looking at the policies which are clearly stated on the UKIP website. http://www.ukip.org
Then leave a comment. That will avoid you saying things which don’t make any sense.

    Hello John,

Though I grimaced continually at the usual misunderstandings, misrepresentations, mistruths and deliberate outright lies typically flouted by opponents of wind power, I have taken the time to do as you suggested, and I stand by every word I wrote.

This is not an ideal forum for me to explain to you the technicalities of wind energy conversion technologies (of which I have some knowledge) so I will remain concise and say your policies are the usual “short-term for immediate political gain” policies we have come to expect from British politicians.

Many of the claims you uphold on your website are factually incorrect, your vision is horrendously myopic, and you appear to have no understanding of global economics.

Perhaps I was harsh in calling you deceitful, in not giving allowance for simple ignorance. So my apologies for that.

Thank god for Nigel Farage and common sense. We could cover this small island of ours with wind turbines, and it will not make one iota of difference to our long term energy production problems, because we still need ‘conventional’ power stations to provide base load for when the wind doesn’t blow.
Classic ‘emperors coat’ and incredible that the government can’t (or won’t) acknowledge the real issue, which is we need to invest in sensible alternative power sources. The lights are going to go out anyway folks, because our conventional power stations are decaying and there has been no investment in new ones.
